Tourism in the NRV
A series of stories on the tourism industry in the NRV.
This site contains a collection of stories about the economic impacts of the tourism industry in the New River Valley. Each story explores a different individual, business, or tourist attraction that has picked the NRV as their home. We want to explore the potential connections between the tourism industry and local colleges in the NRV. The region is home to two large universities in Virginia Tech and Radford.
This series is our group’s final project for the Digital Newsroom: Online course within the Virginia Tech School of Communication. This is a senior level course that pushes students to apply their journalistic skills to a newsroom environment.
